![]() My research explores why wars begin and end using the bargaining model of conflict. My dissertation develops the bargaining model of war by incorporating a more detailed account of war processes, particularly military strategy and outcomes, to explain war termination. In several other papers, I used formal models to better understand why wars begin. In one of these papers (coauthored with Josh Strayhorn) we explored when first-strike advantages may cause war. As a Graduate Part-Time Instructor at CU, I have taught Introduction to International Relations (Summer 2018), American Foreign Policy(Summer 2015, Fall 2015, Spring 2017), and War, Peace and Strategy (Summer 2016). I have also served as a teaching assistant for Introduction to International Relations and Quantitative Research Methods. |
